2008 International Convention
I could not attach to the wireless network in Philadelphia - so I was unable to post while we were there... So this blog entry may not be as rich as some others...
What a convention! Nearly 4,000 students and advisors were in attendance.
One point of major insterest to the AZ Region is the election results for the International Officers:
Election Results: 2008-09 International Officers
International President
John Windham!!!
Division I Vice President
Kerry Cutler
Division II Vice President
Maggie Webster
Division III Vice President
Shamil Mirzoev
Division IV Vice President
Dee Lauzon
I will get the notes from Helen regarding all of awards this year. Arizona did very well (as usual)! As a credit to our entire Region, AZ was selected as one of tth top four regions.

Do we need more events? Advisors feel yes, yesterday students felt similarly when asked during campaigning was in process.
Who will judge Cactus Bowl? Students!
Comments:
Honors 2007 - topics were great, seminar groups were executed very well - Ernie shared that students raved about the event! Others shared that it was very well received.
Ernie shared about the value of mentoring. How much students already know about Chapter Programming - they really value the advice of the advisor. We need to have more experiences like the ones we had in Flagstaff.

Rob Carey will be sending the PowerPoint that have it posted on the Region website.
